Will the EV charger you install be compatible with my electric vehicle?
Yes. Most EVs in Singapore use the Type 2 (AC) and CCS2 (DC) charging standards. This makes them compatible with the majority of EV chargers installed locally. We will recommend a charger that is fully compatible with your vehicle and your charging requirements. Can I charge multiple vehicles at once?

Can I monitor my EV charging remotely?
Many smart chargers come with a mobile application that allows you to: Start or stop charging, monitor charging status, view your charging history, and schedule charging during off-peak hours.
Can I restrict who uses my EV charger?
Yes, you can. Some EV chargers we provide support RFID cards, PIN codes, and app-based access control.
Residential & Home Charging
Can I install an EV charger at my home?
Yes — if you live in a landed property, EV charging installation is usually straightforward. For condominiums, approval from the Management Corporation Strata Title (MCST) may be required. HDB residents generally use public EV charging stations, although some HDB car parks are equipped with chargers.
Where can EV chargers be installed in residential properties?
EV chargers can only be installed in designated parking spaces, such as private home garages, landed property car porches or private car parks, designated parking lots in conodominiums and other residential developments. The installation must also comply with the property's requirements and Singapore's relevant safety regulations.
Is my home's electrical supply efficient to keep my EV running smoothly?
This is one of the most common questions we usually get from homeowners. Before recommending an EV charger to you, our team will assess your electrical distribution board (DB), and available electrical capacity to determine the most suitable charging solutions. If required, we can also carry out load testing to verify your property's available capacity, and recommend solutions such as dynamic load management, or an electrical supply upgrade if necessary.
Will charging my EV at home increase my electricity bill?
Yes, but charging at home is generally more cost-effective than using public charging stations. The actual cost depends on your electricity tariff and charging habits.
Are portable EV chargers allowed?
Portable (non-fixed) chargers are generally only allowed in landed homes and are not permitted in non-landed properties like condominiums.
Is approval needed for EV chargers in condominiums?
Yes. Installing an EV charger in a condominium typically requires the following: Approval from the Management Corporation Strata Title (MCST), appointment or approval of a Charge Point Operator (CPO) when applicable, and compliance with Singapore's electrical and safety regulations. Some government support schemes may also be available to help offset the cost of installing shared EV chargers in condominiums.

How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most residential EV charger installations can be completed within one day, provided all approvals and site preparations are in place. The actual installation time depends on the site conditions, cable routing, electrical work required, and the scale of the installation. For commercial projects involving multiple chargers or additional electrical infrastructure, the installation timeline will vary based on the project's size and complexity.
Can the EV charger be installed outdoors?
Yes. Most EV chargers are designed to withstand Singapore's outdoor weather conditions when installed according to the manufacturer's product specifications.
Compliance & Registration
Do EV chargers need approval before installation in Singapore?
Yes. All EV chargers installed iin Singapore must be type-approved, and comply with the Singapore Technical Reference TR25, i.e. the national standard for EV charging systems. This ensures that the charger meets strict safety, performance, and interoperability requirements before it can be supplied and installed.
Who is allowed to install an EV charger?
EV chargers must be installed by a Certified EV Charger Installer under the supervision of a Licensed Electriclal Worker (LEW). Upon completion of the installation, the LEW will inspect and certify the installation. After which, the charger will be registered with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) before it can be legally used.
Do EV chargers need to be registered?
Yes. All EV chargers in Singapore must be registered with the Land Transport Authority (LTA), before they can be legally used. Once the registration is approved, an LTA registration label must be affixed to the EV charger.
Are there penalties for using unregistered EV chargers?
Yes. Using or supplying an unregistered or non-approved EV charger may result in fines or other penalties under Singapore's EV Charging Act. To ensure safety and compliance, always use a type-approved, LTA-registed EV charger installed in accordance with Singapore regulations. Commercial & Business
Can businesses install EV chargers for employees or customers?
Yes. Offices, hotels, shopping malls, industrial buildings, commercial properties, and fleet operators can install EV charging stations for employees, tenants, customers, and visitors. A Charge Point Operator (CPO) is typically needed. We work closely with leading CPOs in Singapore to deliver a complete EV charging solution.
Can I charge users for using my EV charger?
Yes, you may. Many commercial charging solutions allow CPO to set pricing, monitor usage, and manage payments through a backend platform.
Can multiple EV chargers share available power?
Yes. Dynamic load management enables several chargers to share available electrical capacity efficiently without overloading the building's power supply.

What happens if a fault is found during maintenance?
Many issues can be diagnosed remotely through our backend monitoring system. In many cases, we can perform a remote reset to restore normal operation without the need for a site visit. We have direct access to technical support, firmware update, diagnostic tools, and genuine spare parts. This allows us to identify faults quickly, and if an on-site visit is required, arrive with the appropriate replacement parts to minimise downtime and restore your charger as efficiently as possible.
