The Challenge

ComfortDelgro, one of Singapore's largest public transport operators, required a high capacity EV charging infrastructure solution. Project demanded a charging hub capable of simultaneously servicing a large number of vehicles within tight overnight operational timeframes.
Challenge 1: Designing a charging layout capable of accommodating 40 charging points within the limitations of the depot site
Challenge 2: Delivering sufficient combined power output of 360kW to support rapid fleet turnaround within operational shifts
Challenge 3: Completing installation with minimal disruption to everyday operations
Challenge 4: Future proofinig infrastructure to accomodate future demands

The Solution

Full site assessment and electrical load planning to support 40 charging points at 460kW combined output simultaenously.
Electrical infrastructure works including cabling, mounting, distribution board upgrads, and load management integration
Dynamic load management system implementation to distribute available electrical capacity efficiently across all 40 points
Full SS722 compliance verification and LTA registration across every unit

The Outcome

  • Singapore’s largest DC charging hub successfully delivered
  • ComfortDelgro’s electric bus fleet supported with sufficient charging capacity needs
  • All 40 chargers passed testing, commissioning and approved by LTA with no issue
